Privacy Policy
Lowertown Web Services respects your privacy, the way Saint Paul respects Minneapolis: from a distance, and without asking it many questions.
What stays in your browser
The visitor counter in the masthead counts your own page views, in your own browser, starting from our two clients. That number never leaves your computer, which is why it is so encouraging. Your browser also remembers, until you close the tab, that you agreed to the Terms of Viewing.
The forms
The Client Login and the Request a Free Quote form send nothing anywhere. Whatever you type stays on the page until you leave it. A few boxes answer back when you type or click; they do it inside the page, and keep nothing. To actually reach us, e-mail [email protected].
Analytics
This site uses Vercel Web Analytics, from the company that hosts it, to count page views. It records which page was viewed, the page you came from, your country, and your browser, operating system and kind of device. It uses no cookies, does not store your IP address, and does not know who you are; it tells visits apart with a value that resets every day.
This site’s domain also runs through Cloudflare, which adds its own Web Analytics script (from static.cloudflareinsights.com) to each page. It records the page, the page you came from, your browser and device, and how quickly the page loaded. It uses no cookies or browser storage and does not know who you are. Cloudflare also hides our e-mail address from spam robots by rewriting it on the page; your browser puts it back.
The parody part
Lowertown Web Services is a parody web agency. The sites in our portfolio are parodies of real Saint Paul people, made with affection, and are not written or endorsed by them.
